We are excited to announce that the Michigan Collaborative Care Implementation Support Team (MCCIST) is now called PRISM! We’re still the same team you know and trust, just with a new name and a fresh look.
Why the change?
Let’s be honest: in our line of work, there are a lot of acronyms to keep track of. PRISM is short, simple, and easy to remember. Plus, we think PRISM rolls off the tongue a bit easier than MCCIST does.
What to expect
This will not impact our day-to-day operations, and it won’t change the quality of service you receive from our team. Over the next few months, you’ll see a new look in our emails, training materials, and resource guides as we update them to reflect the change in name. We also have a new email address for you to use when reaching out to the team-at-large: PRISM-inquiries@umich.edu. (But don’t worry—we’ll still keep the old MCCIST address up and running for a while so nothing gets missed.)
Looking ahead
We believe that the future of behavioral health care is multifaceted—like a PRISM—and we remain dedicated to helping Michigan’s health systems, clinics and providers improve patient access to quality mental health services. As we continue our work as PRISM, we will expand our vision nationally, supporting communities not just in Michigan, but across our region and world too.
Questions?
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Training and Implementation Specialist with any questions about this news. Our team can also be reached at PRISM-Inquiries@umich.edu or through the contact form on our website.
With gratitude
Thank you for trusting our team to support you through your implementation of the Collaborative Care Model in your practices. We look forward to continuing to support you in this important work.
